ALMA was born from a feeling.

The feeling of warm sand under your feet, salt water on your skin, and the kind of sun that makes everything feel possible. For me, that feeling has always meant Brazil.

I grew up in the heart of Maranhão. A place where the Amazon begins and the land feels alive in a way that is hard to describe. I spent my life surrounded by that beauty, and when I moved to Canada, I carried it with me.

But something was missing.

I couldn't find swimwear that felt the way Brazilian swimwear feels. The fit, the quality, the confidence it gives you. In Brazil, a bikini isn't just something you wear to the beach. It's how you show up. It's part of who you are.

So I decided to create it.

ALMA, which means soul in Portuguese, is my love letter to Brazil. Every piece is designed and handcrafted in Brazil, made by artisans who have been perfecting this craft for generations. The fabrics, the construction, the fit, everything is done the Brazilian way, because there is no other way.

Building ALMA has been one of the most emotional experiences of my life. Doing it between Canada and Brazil, with two small children at home, has been a lot. But every detail, from the stitching to the insert card in your package, has been thought about with intention and love.

The Amazon has a special place in my heart. I grew up on its doorstep, and protecting it matters deeply to me. That is why $1 from every ALMA purchase is donated to Amazon conservation.
